MARSHALL, Texas – It was an exciting week for the East Texas Baptist University men's soccer program as they are 4-0 and now receiving votes in the national poll. In the week one poll, ETBU is one of nine programs receiving votes and is the top NCAA Division III in the regional poll.
In the Region X poll for September 15, ETBU is third as the University of the Redlands is second and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps first. ETBU is ahead of No. 4 Southwestern and No. 6 Mary Hardin-Baylor for Texas programs ranked in the region.
It is the first time in the NCAA Division III era that ETBU has been mentioned in the USC poll. They travel to Tennessee this week to face Rhodes College and Sewanee.
