TYLER, Texas – In the first meet of the year at the University of Texas Tyler, East Texas Baptist University finished fourth of seven teams with 103 points. ETBU had five runners in the top 30 as Danna Requena was the top runner.
 
Requena ran a 20:15.8 for 16th place and was less than 20 seconds off the top 10. Sadie Loftis came in 23rd at 21:02.4 as the second runner for ETBU. Kylea Hatfield followed in 27th (21:19.6) with Reylie Rubio in 28th (21:46.6), and Hannah Willis in 29th (21:54.4). Overall, ETBU had 13 student-athletes runs.
 
ETBU will run at Rhodes College on September 19.
