Biography

Seth Paul Hubbard...born June 20, 1990...son of Donald and Ginger Hubbard...has one brother, Zach, and one sister, Bethany...his brother, Zach, was the starting quarterback at Howard Payne the last two seasons...majoring in Secondary Education/History, with a Math minor...works with First Baptist-Carthage youth, National Honor Society and is an elementary mentor...enjoys playing golf and hanging out with friends...plans to coach and teach in Texas...graduated from ETBU this past spring, currently enrolled in ETBU Master of Education program.

At ETBU: 2011 (JUNIOR): Played in every game as the primary backup quarterback...finished with 728 yards passing and eight touchdowns, with just four interceptions...also stepped in at punter for four games, averaging 32.4 yards on 16 attempts...passed for 225 yards and a program-record-tying four touchdowns in just two-plus quarters of a 54-14 win at Sul Ross State in the season finale (11/12)...completed 10 of 14 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns vs. Austin College (9/10)...was 12 of 27 for 199 yards and two touchdowns in homecoming win over Mississippi College (10/15)...ASC All-Academic team...named a top College Scholar-Athlete by the National Football Foundation Gridiron Club of Dallas. 2010 (SOPHOMORE): Played in nine games, with two starts…came off the bench to go 20 of 33 for 256 yards and two touchdowns at Texas Lutheran (9/18)…was 17 of 28 for 119 yards and a touchdown vs. McMurry (9/25)…went 15 of 29 for 152 yards at Hardin-Simmons (10/2). 2009 (FRESHMAN): Played in seven games as a freshman and started the final four...passed for 532 yards and four touchdowns...passed for 128 yards and a touchdown, and added another 133 yards rushing and a score in a 42-7 win over Howard Payne in the season finale (11/14)...was matched up against his brother, Zach, who was starting at quarterback for Howard Payne in the finale...threw a touchdown pass in each of his four starts...was 13 of 26 for 143 yards and a touchdown in his first start, a loss at Louisiana College (10/17)...completed 16 of 29 passes for 131 yards and a score against Mississippi College (10/24)...also had 58 yards rushing in the loss to the Choctaws...named ASC All-Academic.

High School: Earned three football letters and was district Newcomer of the Year...first-team All-District and All-State at quarterback...was All-District at both quarterback and punter twice...All-Region twice...All-State twice...three-time Academic All-District...Elite Academic All-State...also lettered four years in basketball and was named All-District three times...was District Offensive MVP in basketball...two-time All-District in baseball and district Offensive MVP...second-team All-State in baseball...two-time regional qualifier in track...three-time golf regional qualifier…coached by his father, Donald Hubbard.
