Hodge comes to ETBU from Houghton College and enters his third year on staff as an assistant coach. Before coming to ETBU, he was an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Houghton College in New York.

He brings NCAA Division III and summer baseball league coaching experience to ETBU. Prior to coaching at Houghton, he spent one summer as the assistant coach for the Genesee Rapids in the New York Collegiate Baseball League. He then went back home to Colorado and became the head coach for the Slammers Baseball Club while also being a Sports Performance Coach at 5280 Fitness. He is also NCSF Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Playing collegiately as a four-year starter for Houghton College, he earned All-Empire 8 Conference second team honors in his senior year along with being named the Sportsman of the Year. The captain of his team in his final season, he hit a career best .327 with a .402 on-base percentage. He finished his career playing 115 games which is third best all-time at Houghton.

He graduated from Houghton College in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Business Communications and will be working on his master's degree while coaching at ETBU.
