Brad Wilson

POSITION: Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers
Brad Wilson enters his second season at ETBU under head coach Brian Mayper and brings a strong knowledge of offense after being the offensive coordinator at Navarro College. He has also been an instructor at the Air It Out Passing Academy working with some of the best quarterbacks in Texas and was named the GridironRR.com NJCAA Wide Reciever Coach of the Year in 2018.

Spring 2021 season saw ETBU produce the second best passing offense in the ASC at 267.8 yards per. Quarterback Troy Yowman was an All-ASC honorable mention selection and the ASC Player of the Week once. 

Coming from Navarro College Bulldogs, he served as assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and coached the wide receivers. During his time at Navarro, he coached and developed 11 NCAA Division I players. In his first season as the offensive coordinator, Navarro ranked #1 in the country in total offense, yards per game, passing offense, along with winning the SWJCFC Championship for the first time since 2012. The wide receiver group totaled 279 receptions, 4,030 yards receiving and 34 Touchdowns. Quarterback Parker McNeil was the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year and repeated as a NJCAA All-American first team and All-Conference first team selection.
 
In 2018, Wilson transitioned from running backs to wide receivers. Navarro was first in the NJCAA in passing offense with over 3,200 yards as the wide receiver group totaled 227 receptions, 3,065 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns.  The group was led by All-Conference first team and All-American honorable mention selection Jared Wyatt, who was 1st in the nation in receiving yards and had 10 touchdown receptions, and All-Conference second team selection Kaylon Geiger who led the nation with 70 receptions and was 3rd in all-purpose yardage. The 2018 Bulldogs made an appearance in the Salt City Bowl in Hutchinson, Kan.

During his first season at Navarro in 2017 as the running backs coach, his group of backs were 5th in the NJCAA in total offense, led by All-Conference first team and honorable mention All-American DeAndre Cook who finished with 1000+ rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.

Wilson has been coaching at the Air It Out Passing Academy for over four years. He has been able to coach many of Texas’ top high school quarterbacks including standout quarterback, Alan Bowman, from Texas Tech.

The Snyder, Texas, native spent three seasons as a graduate assistant and student assistant (2014-17) at Howard Payne University working with running backs, wide receivers and quarterbacks.

He and his wife, Raven, have been married since 2014 and have four children – Madelyn, Emma, Maren and Bryce. Maren went on to be with the Lord in June 2021. He is a 2015 graduate of Howard Payne University with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science.
