Greg Liberty

Entering his second year on Brian Mayper’s staff at ETBU coaching linebackers is Greg Liberty. Liberty brings a wealth of coaching experience from NCAA Division I, III, professional, and high school ranks.

The 2019 season brought an All-ASC first-team selection in Anton Clark along withe ASC Sportsmanship Award team member Justice Henson. Clark was also named to the AP All-American first-team. Clark also led the team in tackling with 71.
 
Liberty spent the 2018 season as the defensive line coach at Thiel College and was at Sam Houston State University in 2017 as the defensive and special teams analyst. In spring 2017, he interned with the Arizona Cardinals at their training camp as the special teams and linebacker coach. Before moving to the collegiate ranks, Liberty spent 12 years as a high school coach in the Nashville, Tenn., area. He worked as a linebacker’s coach and defensive coordinator in that time.
 
Serving his country, Liberty was a member of the U. S. Army in the 2nd Infantry Division (Republic of Korea), the 2nd Ranger Battalion (Ft. Lewis, Wash.), and 101st Airborne Division (Ft. Campbell, Ky.). He was deployed to several combat missions throughout the world.
 
He played collegiately at Temple University under former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians. The three-time letterman was voted team Defensive Player of the Week, twice, and helped the 1990 team to a 7-4 record.

He is married to Rasheeda, and a father to both Nailah and Malik.
