Jaylon Jackson

Position: Wide Receivers Coach

Jackson begins his first year as a coach under Calvin Ruzicka adding NCAA Division I experience to the ETBU coaching staff. Jackson played six years at Colorado University as a wide receiver and special teams standout.

In those six years at Colorado, he played in 36 games and helped the Buffaloes to the 2020 Alamo Bowl. In that season, he was named All Pac-12 second team on special teams and was named the Bill McCartney Award Winner for special teams. He also earned the Ceal Barry Leadership Award  and was the team captain against Stanford, Utah, and for the Alamo Bowl. The 2019 season became his best season playing in 12 games earning the Most Improved Special Teams player award. He finished his career in Fall 2022 and was named Colorado's Derek Singleton Award winner for spirit, enthusiasm, and dedication.

At Colorado, service was a major part of the program as he volunteered his time in the Boulder community. Volunteering items included "Read with the Buffs", Buffalo Hugs, Be the Match, and "A Precious Child" helper. 

Jackson had a standout career for now Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire at Cedar Hill High School winning two Texas State Championships in 2013 and 2014. 

He graduated from Colorado in 2022 with a degree in Communications.
