Morgan Ford

POSITION: Cornerbacks
Entering his first year as the cornerbacks coach, Morgan Ford comes to ETBU from Mississippi Valley State University. Ford was a student assistant coach at MVSU in spring 2019.
 
He brings knowledge from the junior college and NCAA Division I ranks playing at Arkansas Baptist College and Mississippi Valley State. In his two years at MVSU, he had a combined 31 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one break up. He played under Vincent Dancy who was the defensive coordinator and then head coach in that time. Prior to his time at MVSU, Ford was the team captain at Arkansas Baptist where he led the team in tackles. His high school career came at Memorial High School in Port Arthur, Texas, as he was the team captain. He was the #6 defensive back in the area in his senior season and an All-District selection as a junior.
 
In spring 2019, Ford served as a student assistant coach at MVSU and also had the chance to coach in the Gridiron All-American Game as the Defensive Coordinator & Defensive Backs coach in which they won, 23-7.
 
Ford graduated Cum Laude with a 3.3 grade point average earning a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in broadcasting. He was the media manager over the Mean Green Marching Machine, which was led by Kenneth Milton & Dr. Kerry Simon.
 
He is the proud son of his mother Linel Moody & late father Robert Ford.
