Madison Collier

Madison Collier is entering her third year as the coach of East Texas Baptist University dance team, Tiger Pom,  in which she helped start in 2016. Prior to her role with Tiger Pom, Collier coached the Tiger Cheer team, was the Director of Student Activities in Student Affairs, and served as an Admissions Counselor at ETBU.

Originally from Sugar Land, Texas, Collier graduated from ETBU in December of 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Education in Sports and Exercise Leadership in 2015. As a student, Collier was a member of the Tiger Cheer team from 2011-2012 and ran cross country and track & field 2012-15.

Prior to her role as the Tiger Pom Coach at ETBU, Collier was blessed with other coaching opportunities. Her passion for coaching began on a summer league swim team during her later years in high school. She served as the assistant swim coach for her summer league swim team in Sugar Land, Texas, from 2009-2011. During the next few summers, she followed the Lord in youth ministry opportunities. It was during her three years at ETBU running cross country under the leadership of Coach Natalie Bach-Prather that she developed the desire to combine her passion for ministry and athletics through coaching.

During the 2014 season, Collier put that passion to the test as she served as the graduate assistant cross country coach for Hallsville ISD. It was in that role that the Lord confirmed coaching as a calling on her life. Collier feels called to help people, love people, and teach them about Jesus.

She says, “I am beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Tiger Pom and coach at my alma mater.”

She loves to help people learn how to meet their physical and spiritual needs while integrating faith into her style of coaching.
