East Texas Baptist University Athletics

Jorden Young enters his first season at East Texas Baptist University on Blake Arbogast's staff for women's basketball as an assistant coach. He comes to ETBU after coaching five seasons at Howard Payne University.

Young is NCAA Division III basketball after playing and coaching men's basketball at Howard Payne University. He played four seasons for the Yellow Jackets from 2011-2015 where he scored 403 points and started 52 games. In his senior season, he helped HPU to 15 wins and an ASC Tournament semi-final appearnce where they fell to eventual tournament champion, ETBU, 75-73. As a coach, he was in charge of recruitment, player development, community service, Bible study, scouting, and defensive schemes.

He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science (2015) and a Master's Degree in Education in Sports and Wellness Leadership (2017) from HPU.
