    Assistant Coach/Discipleship Coordinator
Caitlin Petrich enters her third season at ETBU an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team.

Petrich spent three years as a Collegiate Representative for the Northeast Texas chapter for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on the campuses of Tyler Junior College and UT-Tyler. She is deeply passionate about using the game of soccer to disciple players to Work Hard, Have Fun and most importantly Honor God as they compete on the pitch.

Petrich brings a wealth of coaching experience to ETBU after both a successful playing and coaching career at UT-Tyler. As a player and coach, Petrich helped UT Tyler post eight consecutive seasons with double-digit victories, and in 2019 helped lead the program’s transition into NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference with a successful stretch run in the Patriots’ inaugural season. Over the final two weeks of the season, UT Tyler reeled off a four-game unbeaten streak in LSC play with three shutout victories and an overtime draw to close out the year. Camri Cecil became the Patriots’ first student-athlete to receive an all-conference selection with her appearance as the All-LSC third team goalkeeper.

In her four previous seasons as a coach, UT Tyler competed in NCAA Division III and the American Southwest Conference, producing a 53-11-5 record over that time with a 2015 NCAA Tournament appearance.

A four-year starter for UT Tyler from 2011-14, leading the Patriots to a record of 49-20-6, she helped lead the Patriots to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2014. That same season saw the Patriots also post their first unbeaten conference record as an ASC member. She was a three-time ASC All-Academic selection.

Petrich graduated from UT Tyler in 2015 with a degree in Health and Kinesiology. She is married to her husband, Joey, the head women’s soccer coach for ETBU, and they reside in Marshall. They have a daughter, Piper (6), and two sons Thomas (5) and Ezra (3). Their family is actively engaged in biblical community at Mobberly Baptist Church in Marshall.
