Maddie Little

LIttle enters her second year at East Texas Baptist University after coaching for Trevecca Nazarene University in the spring 2019.

Head coach Kristin Cox says, “I’m really excited to add Maddie to our coaching staff. She comes with a wealth of experience as a player and an already great start to her collegiate coaching career having volunteered under an awesome Christ-centered leader, Coach Fenix. Without a doubt Maddie will be a positive influence on the team, a great contributor to our team’s spiritual growth, and a positive asset all around. Maddie has a passion for Christ-Centered athletics and I’m excited to see her continue to grow and develop as a coach.”

A native of Charlotte, NC, Little brings NCAA Division I, II, and professional playing experience to ETBU. She started her collegiate playing career at NCAA Division I University of South Carolina-Upstate from 2014-16. She then transferred to TNU for her senior season in 2017. In her four seasons as an athlete, she appeared in 66 games while starting 58. She led USCU in games started, minutes played, and shots on goal during the 2016 season. She was a four-year letter winner at Independence High School, and graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science.

Outside of the NCAA, she was a player on the Charlotte Lady Eagles, a branch of Missionary Athletes International, which serves as an elite college soccer training academy during the summers of 2016 and 2017. There, they served globally in missions in Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, and Colombia, which also included matches against the Thailand Women’s National Team and Trinidad and Tobago’s U20 and Senior National Teams.

Little also coached with select teams including the 2007, 2009, and 2011/12 girls academy teams at Tennessee Soccer Club in Nashville, Tenn., and the Carolina Elite Soccer Club in 2018-19.
