Natalie Bach-Prather is in her ninth year as the men's and women’s head track & field coach for the 2021-22 athletic year after starting the program in January 2014.  She has been the head women's cross country coach for 10 years and the men's coach for eight years entering this season. In this time, she has produced 15 All-ASC runners. She currently is the south-southwest NCAA Regional rep for cross country and track and field and will hold the post for five consecutive years.

After having the 2020 season cut short due to CoVID-19, the 2021 returned with several awards. ETBU had three ASC Athletes of the Week (women - Chisom Bright-Osigwe; men - Detaveon Lewis, Mack Broussard) and two individual ASC Champions (men - Lewis, 100 meter dash; women - Sambresha Everett, shot put). Everett and Lewis were named All-ASC first team while Broussard, Ivan Lockhart, Rangel Miller, Brandon Powell,Torres-Izquierdo (men), Gracie Almond, Chisom Bright-Osigwe, Kennadie Ransberger, Randa Slone, Tia Steen-Baker, and Cienna Womack were All-ASC second team.

Both the men's and women's track and field teams had stellar years in 2019 producing the most points in ASC Championship history for the program. The men finished third with 136.50 points and was just 35 points away from claiming the championship. They produced six individual ASC Championships in Mack Broussard (10,000 meter, 5,000 meter, 1,500 meter runs), Detaveon Lewis (100 meter dash), Xavier Montgomery (200 meter dash), and the 4x100 meter relay. The women's team finished with 85.5 points in fourth place as Tia Steen-Baker (100 meter dash, 200 meter dash), Gracie Almond (high jump), and teh 4x100 meter relay all won ASC Individual Championships.

It was also a historic year in qualifications for the NCAA Division III National Meet as Zack Biles (men) and Steen-Baker (women) qualified for the championship. It is the first time for a women's program from ETBU to qualify for the championships and is the second time for the men's program.

In 2018, she fielded stronger teams in the fifth season of the program that made some noise at the American Southwest Conference Championship . The women's team took home fifth place overall, while the men's team produced a third place finish. Bach-Prather produced a champion in the women's 400m hurdles, with Brooklen Butler taking home first place. The men's side produced two first place finishes, first in the 4x100m relay and Mack Broussard winning first overall in the 10,000m run.

Bach-Prather ran cross country all four years as a student at ETBU from 2003-2008. As an athlete she was one of the top female runners for the program and achieved All-ASC second team. She has a strong background in training being certified by the Cooper Institute as a personal trainer, yoga instructor, and nutritional instructor.  She has ran in the 2011, 2013, and 2014 Boston Marathons and competed in Ironman Texas in 2012 finishing in 12 hours and 33 minutes. Natalie has continued to compete athletically throughout her coaching career. She competed for a sponsored triathlon team called Wooly G’s Bike and Fitness from Longview, Texas, between the years 2011-2014 and coached by Eric Deller. In 2014, she qualified for the Age-Group World Championships in triathlon for her age category and represented the United States in Chicago, Ill., in September 2015. Bach-Prather changed to Team IE, coached under Greg Mueller until 2016. During her triathlon career she competed in over 50 sprint triathlons, 15 half marathons, 5 marathons, 8 half-Ironman, and 1 Ironman. Bach-Prather was also awarded USTA All-American for the years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.

Bach-Prather graduated from East Texas Baptist University in 2008 and completed her master’s degree in December 2012 from Stephen F. Austin State University.  Natalie is married to Michael Prather and in 2017 they had their first child, Benjamin Prather.
