Sports: Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball, and Acrobatics & Tumbling

Buhnerkempe began her first year at East Texas Baptist University in the fall of 2022. She came to East Texas after being a resident of sports medicine at Virginia Tech last year for swimming and diving. She has spent time as an athletic trainer at Wayland Baptist University and was a graduate assistant at California Baptist University (Riverside, Calif.).

She earned her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Concordia University (Irvine) in 2018 and her Master's Degree in 2020 from CBU in Kinesiology. She is a nationally Certified Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification and licensed to practice as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Texas by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. She will be at ETBU as part of the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System program in East Texas.
