SHREVEPORT, La. – In a neutral-site match, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team moved past Louisiana College, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Centenary Tennis Courts. The victory ends a three-match losing streak as ETBU improves to 10-3 overall and 1-0 in American Southwest Conference East Division matches.
Ranked No. 10 in the West Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, ETBU swept all three doubles flights to claim a 3-0 advantage heading into singles competition. Kate Bramlett and Kayla Casey were 8-0 winners in the top-seeded doubles match, while Jabree McClaine and Sierra Pizarro teamed up to also win by an 8-0 margin in the No. 3 doubles flight. During the singles matches, ETBU won all six flights by 6-0, 6-0, scores.
ETBU is scheduled to play next when it hosts No. 35-ranked University of Texas-Tyler on April 9, 3 p.m., at the Veterans Memorial Tennis Complex.
