MARSHALL, Texas – Continuing their winning streak, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team moved to 7-1 on the year by shutting out Centenary College, 9-0. Centenary only won two games in the entire match.
ETBU swept through doubles play winning all three matches 8-0. Kate Bramlett and Kaleigh Smith (#1), Tiffany Stankiewicz/Callie Cawthon (#2), and Jabree McClaine/Ashley Schenck (#3) all earned wins. In singles play, Smith won the number one match, 6-0, 6-1, followed by shutout wins, 6-0, 6-0, from Mullika Seekhieo (#2), Cawthon (#3), and McClaine (#4). Schenck won the number five match, 6-0, 6-1, and Elisa Kendall took the last match, 6-0, 6-0.
ETBU will next play over Spring Break in Virginia.
