CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas – Completing the ASC Conference season in style, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team swept Ozarks for a 9-0 victory. ETBU finishes their season with a 15-4 record overall and 3-1 in conference play.
ETBU would not lose a single game in the doubles matches as the pairs of Kate Bramlett and Kaleigh Smith (no 1 doubles) and Tiffany Stankiewicz and Elisa Kendall (no. 2 doubles) won 8-0. The pair of Mullika Seekhieo and Kellie Cawthon (no. 3 doubles) won by default 8-0. Then ETBU would only drop eight games in all six singles matches with the closest match being at no. 2 singles with Stankiewicz pulling away with a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Bramlett got a 6-1, 6-1 win at no. 1 singles while at no. 3 singles, Kendall won 6-0, 6-1. Smith yielded zero games in her 6-0, 6-0 win at no. 4 singles just as Seekhieo won 6-1, 6-0 at no. 5 singles. Cawthon won by default at no. 6 singles.
ETBU will travel to Abilene to compete in the ASC Championship tournament next week at Hardin-Simmons.
