IRVING, Texas - Looking to build upon their upset win from Thursday over Alcorn State, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team tacked on another victory by beating the University of Dallas 3-1. ETBU has now won three of their last four matches and are 3-2 on the year.
ETBU controlled the tempo from the beginning outshooting Dallas 18-1 in the first half. Two first half goals for the Tigers would be the difference in this contest as ETBU received their first goal from
Heather Brady from the top of the box in the 18th minute on an assist from
Claire Hamilton. Then, in the 36th minute,
Abbey Sturdivant headed a corner kick from Raegan Keppler to make it 2-0 going into halftime.
The shooting of ETBU continued in the second half as they managed 10 more shots in to finish the game with 28 shots as 13 of them were on goal. They tallied one more goal by
Hannah Murin as she converted a penalty kick in the 76th minute. However, Dallas would make their penalty kick just 44 seconds later from Kate Vidimos breaking the shutout. Still, it was all Dallas could afford as ETBU walked away with a 3-1 win.Â

Ashleigh Rondon led the team with eight shots and two on goal while Brady tallied seven shots and three on goal.
Claire Montondon played the entire 90 minutes and recorded one save in the game as Dallas fired just three shots all game. Vidimos had two shots on goal while goalkeeper Olivia Severson made just 10 saves against ETBU's offense.

ETBU returns back to Cornish Field on Thursday with a 5:00 p.m. game against American Southwest Conference opponent Concordia-Texas.Â
