PINEVILLE, La. – It took 105 minutes on the road of a rivalry game but East Texas Baptist University grinded out the 1-0 win over Louisiana College in women's soccer. ETBU is now 7-6-1 and 4-5-0 in American Southwest Conference play as they stay in the hunt for a post season berth.
Ashleigh Rondon used her head wisely at the 104:51 mark as she connected for the golden goal into the right side of the net. She received the ball from
Raegan Kappler whose shot was deflected off the top crossbar giving Rondon the chance for the winning goal.
Kappler led the team with six shots as two were on goal picking up an assist. Rondon had two shots as both were on goal with the winning goal.
Brianna Mickshaw,
Kendall Shirley, and
Kristen Schmidt all had two shots each. ETBU took 18 shots with nine on goal while LC had 13 shots with three on goal. Maddie Rae earns her second straight shutout with three saves.

th, against Texas Dallas at 5:00 p.m.
