PREVIEW: @ETBU_Tennis (W) Set for Weekend Contest in San Antonio

MARSHALL, Texas- Entering the week with a conference win , the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team will travel to San Antonio, Texas for a matchup with #40 CalTech followed by an afternoon contest with #18 Trinity University (Texas). The first match is set to kick-off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24. ETBU is currently 2-5 on the season and 1-0 in American Southwest Conference matches.

In the 9-0 victory over Louisiana College last weekend, Tess Willis and Elisa Kendall commanded the number one doubles match, coming away with the 8-0 sweep. Ashley Schenck and Kaleight Smith dominated the number two doubles match with the 8-1 victory. Jabree McClaine and Mullika Seekhieo closed out the doubles competition with an 8-0 sweep of their own. McClaine was also named the American Southwest Conference East Division "Athlete of the Week" for her performance in Orlando, Florida. McClaine went 3-1 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play against several nationally ranked opponents. This is McCaline's first ASC Award of her career.     

The women's team will take on #40 CalTech at 9:00 a.m. and #18 Trinity University at 2:00 p.m. from San Antonio, Texas.
