Box Score MARSHALL, Texas – Sweeping the match, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team came through with a 9-0 victory over Belhaven University in American Southwest Conference East Division play. ETBU is now 2-0 in the ASC East.
ETBU would only yield two points in the 8-1 wins from both the number one doubles pair of
Elisa Kendall and
Tess Willis and the number three doubles pair of
Jabree McClaine and
Mullika Seekhieo while the number two doubles pair of
Ashley Schenck and
Kaleigh Smith posted a shutout in an 8-0 victory.
In singles play, McClaine (#5 Singles) had the closest match at 6-4, 6-1 while Willis (#1) won 6-1, 6-3. Kendall (#2) and Smith (#3) would pick up 6-0, 6-0 wins. Seekhieo (#4, 6-0, 6-1) and Schenck (#6, 6-0, 6-2) would each have a 6-0 score in their victories, too.
ETBU will continue their home stand with a match against the University of Texas Tyler at 10:00 a.m.
