Game 1 – ETBU 13, UTD 12
MacKenzie Anderson started the game off the right way with a leadoff solo home run to make it 1-0. Following that, an RBI hit by Salts and
Madison Prince reaching on an error allowed two more runs to score to make it 3-0 ETBU. UTD would counter that with a two-run single in the bottom of the first to make it 3-2. One inning later,
MacKenzie Anderson then would hit her second homer of the game driving in two while Prince would tack on an RBI single to make it 6-2. A scoreless third inning was followed by a three-run homer from Salts to make it 9-2 in the top of the fourth. The Comets would get one back in the bottom of the fourth on a sacrifice fly to make it 9-3.
Three more runs came across in the top of the fifth inning on a triple by

Chelsea Ham and it was 12-3. UTD would extend the game in the bottom of the fifth as four runs cut the lead to 12-7. Lewis would make it 13-7 in the next inning with a sacrifice fly to left. But once again, the Comets refused to back down as they scratched five runs in the bottom of the sixth to trail 13-12. After ETBU was held scoreless, UTD put the tying run on base with a leadoff single. However, a sacrifice bunt and a double play would end any hopes of a UTD comeback as ETBU secured the win.

MacKenzie Anderson struck again with a two-run homer to right center for a 2-1 lead in the top of the third inning. UTD answered in the bottom of the third with an RBI single to make it 2-1.
Jordan Anderson and Stephens would continue their pitcher's duel that started in the first two innings as they would keep the game 2-1.
That was until the top of the sixth when ETBU scratched three runs across, but not by hits. A bases loaded walk to
MacKenzie Anderson was followed by a hit by pitch to
Morgan Arst and Lewis reaching on catcher's interference and ETBU's lead went up to 5-1 for the Tigers. The Comets would lead off the bottom of the sixth with a single and a walk before
Jordan Anderson struck out the next three hitters. ETBU then scored two more runs on a double steal and a double by
Taylor Sieber to make it 7-1. UTD would then make one last charge as they scored three runs to cut the lead to 7-4. But Arst recorded the final out to preserve the victory.
