SHREVEPORT, Louisiana – Adapting and overcoming a lightning delay, treacherous rain, and an early 1-0 McMurry University lead, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team earned an American Southwest Conference win in a come from behind performance, 2-1. ETBU scored two goals in a span of two minutes late in the second half to win the game. ETBU currently is 3-4-1 and 1-3-0-in ASC play.

The second half would see a hungrier Tigers squad come out and attack the net aggressively. ETBU was unable to break through to the net for the first 26 minutes of the half. Then came a sequence of events that changed the game. Following a foul on McM, Hunt would equalize on a free kick in the 72
nd minute to tie the score. Then, nearly two minutes later, Mickshaw would put ETBU ahead on an assist by Rondon. The War Hawks would have a few opportunities to equalize, but couldn't break through. At the 84
th minute of the game, lightning struck again and this time, the game was called with ETBU taking the win.
