RICHARDSON, Texas – Running their record to 3-0 to start the season, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team routed Howard Payne University, 8-1. ETBU has now won all three matches on the road.
ETBU started off doubles play up, 2-1, after
Tiffany Stankiewicz and
Olivia Parmelly won the number two doubles, 8-0.
Tess Willis and
Cassidy Wilcoxson won by default for the number three doubles.
Mullika Seekhieo and
Ashley Schenck fell in number one doubles.
In singles number one, Stankiewicz won 6-1, 6-1, and Parmelly won 6-0, 6-1, at number two singles. Wilcoxson then won number three singles, 6-2, 6-2.
Kaleigh Smith,
Tess Willis, and Seekheio all won by default.
ETBU faces the University of Texas Dallas at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
