RICHARDSON, Texas – Taking on the top team from the American Southwest Conference West Division, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team fell to the University of Texas Dallas, 7-2. ETBU is now 3-1 on the year.

ETBU picked up a point in doubles play when Andrew Deutsch and Tyler Howard came away with an 8-3 win at number three doubles. Both Adam Morris/John Herr (number 1) and Joseph Salinas and Ty Tarver (number two) fell 8-2 in their doubles matches.

Herr gave ETBU their second point in a 6-3, 7-5 win at number three singles over Ashwin Vaithianathan. Salinas came the closest to earning a point falling at number one, 7-5, 6-2.

ETBU will be back in action on Saturday, February 23, when they face Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
