MARSHALL, Texas – The long road trip will continue for the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team as they will travel to Sherman, Texas, to take on Hardin-Simmons University and Austin College this weekend. ETBU is now 3-3 on the season after falling to Trinity University and Washington University-St. Louis last weekend.
On Friday, the Tigers fell to #21 Trinity University, 9-0. In doubles play

Tiffany Stankiewicz (#1) and
Kaleigh Smith/Oliva Parmelly (#2), would have close matches before both fell 8-3. Smith (#4) won her first set in singles play 6-3, before falling 0-6, and 4-10 in the tiebreaker. Parmelly (#6) also fell in a tiebreaker 6-1, 1-6, 1-10.
The Tigers took on #13 Washington University-St. Louis on Saturday and fell, 8-1. Stankiewicz/Kendall picked up the lone point in doubles play winning the number two match, 8-7, and the tiebreaker 7-5.
Last year both the matches were cancelled against HSU and AC due to weather. The last time ETBU faced HSU was in the ASC Tournament semi-finals winning, 5-3, to advance to the 2017 championship match.
Friday's match vs. HSU is set to begin at 4:00 p.m., while Saturday's match vs. Austin College is at 9:00 a.m.
