SHERMAN, Texas – Playing in cold weather at a neutral site, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team picked up a 6-3 victory over Hardin-Simmons University. ETBU is currently 4-3 overall.
 
The Tigers started their match by sweeping all doubles matches. At #1, Elisa Kendall and Tiffany Stankiewicz paired up to defeat Abigail Kendall and Kyra Mobley 8-2. Olivia Parmelly and Kaleigh Smith shutout the pair of Sabra Zullo and Emily Shaffer 8-0 at number two doubles while Mullika Seekhieo and Tess Willis picked up an 8-5 victory at number three doubles over Elizabeth Lopez and Kelsey Doege.
 
ETBU then won three singles matches at 1-3 as Kendall (#1 singles) defeated Zullo 6-0, 6-1. Stankiewicz (#2 singles) earned a 6-0, 6-4 win over Maddie Hammond while Smith pulled in a 6-3, 6-0 win at number three singles against Shaffer.
 
The Tigers will take on host school Austin College tomorrow at 9:00 AM.
