KERRVILLE, Texas – Playing two matches over spring break in central Texas, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team fell in both matches. ETBU lost on Sunday to Occidental College, 8-1, and Connecticut College, 6-3, on Monday. ETBU is now 3-5 overall.

In the first match, Tyler Howard and Andrew Deutsch won 8-7 at number three doubles for the lone point. Adam Morris and John Herr fell in number one doubles, 8-7. John Herr came close to a win in singles at #2 falling, 6-3, 3-6, 2-6.

On Monday, ETBU earned three points in the 6-3 loss to Connecticut College. ETBU won doubles match, 8-7, at #2 as Joseph Salinas and Ty Tarver pulled out the win. Herr then won at #2 singles, 7-6, 1-6, 6-4. Tarver finished out the scoring with a 6-3, 6-1, win at #6 singles.

ETBU will next play on Friday, March 22, at home vs. Schreiner University at 3:00 p.m.
