Each team would score one run in the first inning as a sacrifice fly by Gartner countered an early run by BU on two Tiger errors. ETBU would go up front in the third as extra base hits by Gartner and Mikeska made it 3-1. The Blazers swung momentum in their favor as they scored six runs in the top of the fourth inning to go up 7-3.
ETBU refused to back down as RBI doubles by McAdams and Sumpter cut the deficit to 7-6 in the bottom of the fourth. One inning later, RBI knocks by Singletary and

BU regained their four run lead in the fifth with an RBI single.
Then, ETBU would have another comeback in the bottom of the fifth. A double steal between Combs and Sumpter was followed by a Gartner single and a Mikeska homer to knot the game at five.
