MARSHALL, Texas – Looking wrap up a perfect record in the American Southwest Conference East Division, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team will head out to Mississippi for two matches this week. ETBU will be going up against Belhaven University on Wednesday before facing Millsaps College on Thursday. ETBU has already won the East Division even if they fall to Belhaven as they have the tiebreaker over LeTourneau University.
In their last matchup, the Tigers had no trouble sweeping the University of Ozarks 9-0 to improve their record to 11-5 overall and 3-0 in the ASC East. The #1 doubles team of

Kaleigh Smith had an 8-3 win while the #2 pairs of
Tiffany Stankiewicz/
Ashley Schenck (8-1) and #3 pairs of
Elisa Kendall/
Mullika Seekhieo (8-0) combined to drop one game in their wins. ETBU would then win all their singles matches in straight sets.
This week, ETBU starts with BU, a team that the Tigers shutout 9-0 in their last match a season ago in Marshall. BU is currently 4-9 overall and 1-1 in the ASC East Division after winning both matches against the Mississippi University for Women 9-0.
ETBU will take on Millsaps in a regional matchup on Thursday. Last year, ETBU fell to then then #31 Majors 6-3. After dropping their last match to Centre College, this year's Majors team enters at 11-5 overall.
The match with BU will start at 6:00 PM on Wednesday while Thursday's match starts at 2:00 PM.
