JACKSON, Miss. – Controlling the match from start to finish, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team secured a 9-0 win over the Belhaven University Blazers in their final regular season conference matchup. ETBU finishes the regular season 12-5 overall and 4-0 in the American Southwest Conference East Division claiming the divisional championship.
 
ETBU wasted no time going up 3-0 after the doubles as Ashley Schenck and Tiffany Stankiewicz earned an 8-0 shutout at #2 doubles. The other doubles pairs of Kaleigh Smith/Olivia Parmelly (#1) and Tess Willis/Cassidy Wilcoxson (#3) took 8-2 wins each.
 
All singles win would be in two sets with Smith being the only Tiger to shutout her opponent at #4 singles. Willis (#2; 6-0, 6-1), Mullika Seekhieo (#5; 6-0, 6-2), and Parmelly (#6; 6-0, 6-1) had a shutout in their sets while Stankiewicz (#3) battled to a 6-2, 6-4 win marking the closest match ETBU had all day.
 
ETBU is off next week, but they will prepare for ASC tournament in two weeks.
