After three scoreless innings from Lara, the Tigers loaded the bases in the bottom of the third inning bringing in one run as Corley Carpenter would reach base on a fielder's choice to give ETBU a 1-0 lead. Lara would give up her first hit in the top of the fourth inning as LETU would put two runners on. But Anderson and Deramus would come up with a strong defensive plays ending the threat.

Lara would keep LETU scoreless for the next two frames despite leaving the tying run at third in the top of the fifth inning. Meanwhile, ETBU would strand a runner on base in the fourth and fifth innings. ETBU would add an insurance run as Salts drove in Deramus for a 2-0 cushion in the bottom of the sixth inning. One strike away from the shutout, LETU would cut the deficit to 2-1 on a solo home run but Lara secured her sixteenth complete game victory with a strikeout to end the frame.

Game 2 – ETBU 6, LETU 2
Both teams would get on the board in the first inning as LETU would score one in the top and ETBU answered with an Anderson two-run homer in the bottom of the inning. LETU knotted the score in the top of the second with a double. However, ETBU would strike with a single in the bottom of the third bringing in two runs and a 4-2 lead.

One inning later, Delgado would get her first home run of the season on an inside-the-park homer scoring Carpenter to make it 6-2. Cox would retire the side in the fifth inning and then only allow two more hits in the next two innings for the four-run win.
