SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Opening up the season with a strong test on the road, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team pushed hard to the end but fell to #18 Trinity University (TX) 4-0. ETBU will return to the field on Sunday, Sept. 1, for a match against Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.

TU launched 29 shots at the net, connecting on four on the day. Madison Horner led the way with two goals on two shot attempts, while Cassie Bowers and Kristen Conigilone each added a goal in the contest. ETBU recorded three shots, with Kibriana Bonner, Ashleigh Rondon and Amy Pineda tallying the attempts. Maddie Rea had six saves.

ETBU will kick-off their second match of the season against the Mountaineers on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
