#TIGERSWIN | Four Players Score in Double Figures Leading @ETBU_MBSK Over McM

ABILENE, Texas - Led by a strong 19-point second-half performance by Logan Blow, the East Texas Baptist University men's basketball team used a 51-point second half to pull away from McMurry University, 79-67. ETBU is now 4-1 on the year and will finish their road trip on Saturday vs. Hardin-Simmons University.

Blow, scoring 19 of his points in the second half, finished with a team-high 22 points. Chris Haynes would pour in 19 points while Charlie Cochran finished with 12 points. Landin Brown was one rebound shy of a double-double (10 points, nine points). McM would be led by Remy Minor, who posted 20 points.

Though ETBU would fall just short of the three-point battle (35.7%-35.3%), they would outshoot the War Hawks 46.8%-40.4% from the field. ETBU also out rebounded McM, 36-29, and produced 28 bench points. ETBU would also score 19 points off of turnovers while producing four blocks.

ETBU would get an early 4-0 edge (17:45-17:06) only to watch nine unanswered points by the War Hawks (17:06-14:29) to grab the five-point lead, 9-4. The War Hawks would maintain the two-score lead until a three by Brown (9:30) and a free throw by Haynes (9:00) made it 17-15. ETBU would get contributions from role players in the first half as Skyler Stutts tallied two points (5:24) while Kevin Charles (1:07-0:42) would pick up four points. McM would be helped by five three pointers as they would seize a one-point lead, 29-28, at halftime.

The second half started with five unanswered points by McM to increase their lead to six, 34-28 (17:03). The tide would turn in favor of ETBU over the next five minutes. Haynes would convert a pair of free throws (16:44) before Blow would go into takeover mode. He scored 13 of ETBU's next 15 points to put ETBU up, 45-41 (11:24). ETBU upped their lead to eight points before the War-Hawks trimmed it to 50-46 (8:22). Again, Blow came up with a big three (7:32) and the Tigers would carry that momentum all the way to a double-digit lead at 61-50 (5:01), which would be maintained for the remainder of the game as ETBU won 79-67.

ETBU will attempt to go for the Abilene sweep when they take on Hardin-Simmons University on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
