WAGONER, Okla. – Competing in the FLW Southern Qualifier Tournament at Fort Gibson in Oklahoma, the East Texas Baptist University bass fishing team earned a spot at 2021 FLW National Tournament with an 8^th place finish. Josh Manuel and Grant Hendrix qualified for the national tournament with their finish.
 
Manuel and Hendrix pulled off the qualification recording a weight of 15 pounds, 12 ounces in the one-day tournament. They were just two ounces off of the top four competing against 74 boats.  Cody Ross and Cameron Tullis turned in a 39^th place finish, recording a weight of 10 pounds, 12 ounces on the day. Kaden Proffitt and Cason Ragsdale came in 43^rd place finish with a weight of 10 pounds, and an ounce. 
 
This will be the fifth year in a row that ETBU will be represented at a national tournament.
