ABILENE, Texas – Playing their second match in 24 hours, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 result to McMurry University. ETBU is now 1-1 overall.

ETBU's closest doubles match came at No. 3 when the tandem of Kelsey Roberts and Faith Kirk came up short, 8-6. Roberts would get ETBU's first point in singles play at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-4. Elisa Kendall would take a win at No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-2, for the other point. Syvoney Ibarra forced a tiebreaker at No. 5 singles before falling 6-3, 4-6, 4-10.

ETBU will host their first home match of the season on Friday at 4:00 PM against Schreiner University.
