PINEVILLE, La. - Plagued by three second half goals, the East Texas Baptist University men's soccer team fell to Louisiana College, 4-2, in their final regular season spring game. ETBU ends the regular season 3-5-1 and 3-4 in the American Southwest Conference.
Silas Sangano led ETBU with four shots, including a goal while
Travis Floyd added one goal on two shots.
Garrett Garvin put up three shots for ETBU with two shots on goal. Gunnar Barry recorded three saves in goal for the Tigers.
LC would get their first goal of the game in the 28th minute and take a 1-0 lead at the half. Floyd would equalize for ETBU in the 57th minute but over the next 10 minutes the Wildcats would score three goals to go up 4-1. Sangano cut the lead to two, 4-2, in the 69th minute but chances to comeback were not there as LC hung onto the win.
ETBU will now play Hardin-Simmons University in the ASC Tournament next week in Abilene, Texas, on Thursday.
