RICHARDSON, Texas – Facing the top team in the East Division , the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team came up short to the University of Texas Dallas, 9-0. ETBU is now 3-4 overall and 0-1 in American Southwest Conference East Division.

John Herr and Joseph Salinas would have the closest doubles match at No. 1 falling, 8-7 losing the tiebreaker, 7-2. Dalton Barron and Noah Smistad would drop their No. 2 doubles match, 8-4. Salinas then pushed his opponent at No. 3 singles to a 6-4, 6-4 result while Smistad fell, 6-3, 6-2.

ETBU will be on the road next week at the University of Ozarks on Friday at 12:00 PM.
