CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - Trailing 2-1 after doubles play, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team rallied back with five singles victories to defeat the University of Ozarks, 6-3. This puts ETBU at 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the American Southwest Conference East Division.

The No. 1 doubles pair of John Herr and Joseph Salinas teamed up to beat Parker Morey and TJ Saniseng 8-3. However, the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles pairs dropped their matches, 8-5, and, 8-3. ETBU would bounce back with five singles wins, though. Herr (No. 2; 6-3, 6-2), Adam Morris (No. 3; 7-5, 6-3), Noah Smistad (No. 4; 6-1, 6-0) and Randal Lemmon (No. 5; 6-2, 6-0) won in straight sets while Dalton Barron (6-0, 0-6, 6-2) needed a tiebreaker to win in three sets at No. 6 singles.

ETBU will take on Southwestern University at 3:30 PM on Saturday, Apr. 10th in Marshall, Texas.
