MARSHALL, Texas – Taking the series from the top team in the American Southwest Conference, the East Texas Baptist University recorded a dominating game three victory, 10-3, over Louisiana College in the final meeting between these two teams. ETBU is now 18-11 overall and 13-5 in the ASC.
Christopher Robinson had a team high three hits to go with a RBI while
Will Kelley (two triples, three RBI) and
Zachary McAdams (two hits, two RBI) combined for four hits and five RBI.

Sayers Collins would once again have a hitless outing picking up the save in 2.2 innings with four strikeouts.
After both starting pitchers recorded perfect first innings, the Wildcats would get an early run in the second off an ETBU error. The Tigers answered in their half of the second as Kelley tripled in McAdams. LC retook the lead in the top of the third on a home run.
In the fourth, ETBU struck for four runs to lead 5-2. A RBI double by McAdams was followed by a suicide squeeze bunt from
Fox Locke for the first run. ETBU then scored two runs on an LC throwing error for a 5-2 lead. Facing two on and two outs in the sixth, Corbin gave way to Arellano, who sealed the final out of the inning to get out of the threat. In the next half inning, Kelley would drive in Neel on a groundout pushing the score to 6-2.
Arellano ran into trouble after conceding a run in the seventh. With two on and one-out, he handed the ball to Collins who retired the next two batters. The Tigers then scored four runs in the next two innings.
Colson Sledge reach on an error that scored Robinson in the seventh while a McAdams single, Kelley triple, and Robinson single made it 10-3 through the eighth inning. Collins retired the final six hitters to seal the series win for ETBU.
The Tigers will have their final midweek games of the season this Tuesday when they travel to Hawkins, Texas, to meet up with Jarvis Christian College. The doubleheader will start at 12:00 PM.
