GAME 1: ETBU 5, DU 2
After a scoreless first period from both teams, Dolese put the Tigers on the board first just 56 seconds into the second period off a powerful assist from Soderström. After 15:56 had gone by in the second, one of the newest Tigers,
Noah Gaudette, chipped the puck to Mills right in front of DU's goalie scoring a one-timer making it 2-0. With only 0:16 left in the second period, The Pioneers responded to Mills' goal cutting the score to 2-1 as they went into the second intermission.
The Pioneers started off the 3
rd period on the Power Play and used the one-man-advantage to score just 1:10 into the period tying the game at two. Just 5:48 later, Soderström made his presence known once again, scoring through the goalkeeper's legs for the one-goal advantage with 13:02 remaining. The Tigers turned this momentum into two more goals, one goal coming from Bregante and another from Desjardins, finishing off any chance of a Pioneer comeback. Those goals sealed the Tigers 5-2 victory.
