MARSHALL, Tx – A Saturday afternoon match at Cornish Field, the East Texas Baptist University Tigers lost to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders, 3-0. ETBU is now 5-4-1 overall and 0-2 in American Southwest Conference play.
 
ETBU had their fair share of opportunities in the first half. Both teams took six shot each, but only one found the back of the net. UMHB's Keven Daniel struck for the Cru in the 32nd minute and took the that lead into the half, 1-0.
 
In the second half, ETBU fought valiantly, but the Crusaders found the net twice more, striking in the 51st and 67th minutes. The Tigers worked hard to get back into the game, but found themselves on the losing side of the score, 3-0.
 
ETBU will be back in action against the Hardin-Simmons University Cowboys this Thursday in Abilene.
