#TIGERSWIN | SB | ETBU Records Another Shutout Posting 15 Runs

MARSHALL, Texas – Shutting out the University of the Ozarks in the final game of the American Southwest Conference series, #4 East Texas Baptist won, 15-0, over the Eagles. ETBU is now 4-2 overall and 4-2 in the ASC.
 
Hannah Kelley earned the win with 11 strikeouts moving to 1-0 on the year. She threw a two hit shutout and only faced 19 batters retiring the side in the first, third, and fifth innings.
 
Tauryn Cummings and Amber Thibodeau were both 3-of-3 in the game as Cummings posted three RBI and Thibodeau one RBI. Tristen Maddox, Corley Carpenter, Kamyree Kielberg were 2-of-2. Maddox and Cummings each had a home run. Carpenter and Kielberg had two RBI while Maddox, Courtney White, and Anahi Ramirez had one RBI.

ETBU scored in every winning with four runs in the first, second, and fourth innings. Carpenter brought in the first run with a double followed by a Thibodeau RBI single. A wild pitch allowed Cummings to score and then Delanie Loya came in on a throwing error on the same play.
 
In the second inning, White had a sacrifice fly to make it 5-0. Carpenter followed with her second double of the game as Maddox scored. Cummings added two more runs for an 8-0 lead with a two-run home run to left field. ETBU scored three runs in the third inning as Maddox had a solo shot to left field for the ninth run of the game. Keilberg doubled in White and then Cummings doubled to left center field as Keilberg was the 11th run of the game.
 
Thibodeau scored in the fourth inning on a wild pitch and Keilberg singled up the middle as Mary Frances Ellis scored. Maddox came in on a passed ball making it 14-0. A sacrifice fly from Ramirez was the final run making it 15-0.
 
ETBU will face Hardin-Simmons University on Monday and Tuesday in Abilene in ASC play.
