Game 1
ETBU 11, HSU 1
ETBU's offense erupted for five runs in the first inning as they routed HSU, 11-1, behind
Sayers Collins pitching performance. Collins earned the seven-inning complete game win allowing just one earned run with 11 strikeouts. ETBU had six extra base hits in the game as Chris Robinson and
Ben Lea recorded home runs.
Brett Wagner added a triple, and
Will Kelley,
Carson Wilson, and Nick Chavez added doubles.
Kelley went 3-of-4 with three runs scored to lead the team. Robinson and Wilson both had two hits. Wagner posted three RBI while Robinson, Wilson, and Chavez all had two RBI. Lea recorded one RBI.
Wagner grounded out in the first inning for the first run of the game as Zach McAdams scored. Wilson followed with a double as both Lea and Kelley came in for the 3-0 lead. Chavez then made it 5-0 on a double scoring
Nick Massarini and Wilson. In the fourth inning Robinson singled in a run for the six-run lead. HSU had their only run in the fifth as ETBU followed with a five run sixth inning. Wagner tripled in two runs and then scored on wild pitch making it 9-1. Robinson hit his third home run of the series for the 10-1 lead and Lea followed with back-to-back home runs for the 10-run lead and win.
Game 2
ETBU 6, HSU 5

Charles Gordon bunt in the bottom of the eighth inning led to the winning run coming home on a throwing error to give ETBU the win, 6-5. HSU took an early, 2-0, lead in the third inning but Kelley cut the lead to one with a ground out. Wagner followed with a three-run home run for a two-run lead, 4-2. He then singled in the fifth inning to make it 5-2. HSU scored one in the seventh and then two in the eight to tie the game five. Gordon then had the key bunt single in the eighth for the go ahead run.
Jacob Sherman went 7.2 innings for the no decision recording 13 strikeouts allowing five earned runs on seven hits.
Trent Clark received the win on 1.1 innings of work with one strikeout. Wagner went 3-of-4 with four RBI to lead the team. Kelley also posted a RBI.
ETBU will travel to central Texas to face Texas Lutheran University next weekend.
