MARSHALL, Texas – Earning their second win in arrow and improving to 4-2 on the year, East Texas Baptist University now has a four-game winning streak over the University of Dallas claiming a 3-0 victory. ETBU was on the front foot from the start and didn't let off the gas with a total of 24 shots to UD's four.
The Tigers came out of the gate guns blazing with
Mallory Duncan scoring a chip from 25-yards out just 18 seconds into the contest.
Isabella Dollagaray had the assist on the shot with a nicely laid off square bass to Duncan. ETBU wasn't done yet as
Olivia Gallegos was able to find the back of the net after finding herself in acers of space on the penalty spot.
Sarah Ramos was able to draw the attention on three UD defenders and slot it over for Gallegos who put it past the keeper for the second goal of the match in the 31
st minute. ETBU took 17 shots in the first and held the Crusaders to just one.
The second half saw ETBU keeping up their offensive momentum while also defending well from a plethora of crosses from the Crusaders. Seeing three shots with one on goal saved by
Megan McCarthy, she was able to cut off several UD attacks showing her speed coming off her line to pick up over played through balls. With the clock winding down at the end of the game,
Aaliyah Casas was able intercept a pass and shake off a defender to loft a shot over the keeper and into the back of the net to make it a 3-0 game with four seconds left on the clock.

Mallory Duncan led the team with six shots (2 on goal) while
Olivia Gallegos had four shots (3 on goal).
Aylisse Warren also had three shots with one on goal.
Addison Funk and McCarthy each took a period in goal recording a save.
ETBU will travel to Georgetown, Texas, on Sunday to play Southwestern at 12:00 pm.
