MARSHALL, Texas – Heading to Forney, Texas, to meet Howard Payne University at a neutral site, the East Texas Baptist University Tigers shut out the Yellowjackets, 2-0. ETBU is now 6-2-1 on the year and 8-6-1 all-time against Howard Payne.
 
Outshooting the Yellowjackets 10-1, ETBU put on a dominant performance. They had the vast majority of possession and held Howard Payne to very few shooting chances throughout the match. Isabella Dollagaray picked up a goal, assisted by Sarah Ramos, while Elizabeth Wynne added a goal and Aaliyah Casas recorded an assist.
 
The scoring opened in the 25^th minute when Dollagaray was on the end of a through ball from Ramos and slotted it home into the bottom corner. The game remained at 1-0 until Wynne hit a screamer from 35-yards out for her first career goal in the 65^th minute. The Yellowjackets pressed hard late, but the Tigers were able to hold out defensively for the shutout.
 
ETBU returns home to host Concordia University Texas on Thursday, September 29^th, at 5:00pm.
