RICHARDSON, Texas – Coming up short of an American Southwest Conference East Division regular season championship, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team fell to Texas Dallas, 9-0. ETBU ends the regular season at 10-6 and 3-1 in the ASC East.
Doubles play started off with UTD taking all three matches. The Comets took the number one and number two matches, 8-3, an then won the number three match, 8-2, for a 3-0 lead.
In singles play,
Maryam Sharafeldin lost in two sets but the second set went to a tie breaker, 1-6, 6-7 (6-8) at number four.
Isabelle Duarte had a close match at number six falling, 2-6, 4-6.
ETBU will next play in the ASC Tournament April 27-29 at the ASC West Division Champion.
