RICHARDSON, Texas – Taking on the University of Texas Dallas for the last time in Richardson, East Texas Baptist University didn't have the offensive firepower to keep up with the Comets falling, 2-0. ETBU is now 4-5-1. UTD is transitioning to NCAA Division II and is a regional opponent this year.
ETBU had six shots in the match, with one on goal from
Makayla Baxter.
Grace Shurley led the team with two shots.
Cadence Tischler had eight saves and two goals against.
UTD scored in the 12th minute for the 1-0 lead and then added a security goal in the 81st minute for the 2-0 lead. Baxter had ETBU's only shot on goal in the 31st minute.
ETBU will take on Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. in Belton, Texas.
