BELTON, Texas – Playing their third match on the road, East Texas Baptist University couldn't find the net as the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor blanked the Tigers, 2-0. ETBU is now 4-6-1 and 2-2-0 in the American Southwest Conference.
ETBU took four shots with one on goal as UMHB had 19 shots with 10 on goal. ETBU took two shots each half with their only shot on goal in the second half.
Sarah Ramos and
Grace Shurley each had two shots with Shurley taking the only shot on goal.
Cadence Tischler gave up two goals but had eight saves.
UMHB scored in the 29
th minute for the 1-0 lead at the half. They made it 2-0 in the 63
rd minute. ETBU's only shot on goal came in the 90
th minute by Shurley.
ETBU travels to Abilene, Texas, on Thursday, Oct. 17, to face Hardin-Simmons University in ASC play.
