ABILENE, Texas – Competing against the top team in the American Southwest Conference, East Texas Baptist University fell to Hardin-Simmons University, 4-0. ETBU is now 4-7-1 and 2-3-0 in the ASC.
ETBU took seven shots with two on goal as HSU recorded 21 shots and nine on goal. ETBU had five shots in the first half and two in the second.
Giselle Laredo and
Michelle Medellin each had a shot on goal.
Cadence Tischler stopped four shots.
HSU scored two goals in the first half at the 22
nd and 28
th minute for a 2-0 halftime lead. They added another two goals in the second period in the 50
th and 83
rd minutes.
ETBU travels to Brownwood, Texas, on Saturday to face Howard Payne for the second time this season. Game time is at 7:30 p.m.
